Are we obligated to follow your school schedule for the year?
Our school schedule is there to let you know when grades are due and when our activities and graduations will happen. As a private homeschooler, you have the freedom to choose your own schedule.
What are the requirements to join CVCA?
All members must make a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and fully agree to our Statement of Faith.
Can I be part of a Charter School and participate in any classes you may offer?
No. You cannot be enrolled in two schools at the same time. Charter schools are public schools and we are a private school. Only one school can hold the student’s cume file.
Are there volunteer hours required of parents?
Yes, there will be some level of volunteer time required of families who participate in field trip / park Days, classes, and other events.
Is CVCA accredited?
No, CVCA is not accredited. Our families have the freedom to choose their own curriculum, schedule, and every other aspect of educating their own children, However, our non-accredited status has not disqualified our students from college acceptances. Biola, UCLA, Hillsdale, Union, Concordia, California Baptist University, Colorado Christian, Westmont, Patrick Henry are just some of the colleges CVCA students have been accepted to directly upon High School graduation.
Do you provide curriculum?
As private homeschoolers, we are responsible to provide our own curriculum. However, we do offer curriculum guidance to assist families in making curriculum choices.
